Gareth Pugh ama il nero. Io amo il nero. Io amo Gareth Pugh. Non so se Gareth Pugh ama me.
L'unico sprazzo di colore sono le croci rosse dipinte sul volto delle modelle.
Nelle passerelle di Pugh vi è sempre una sorta di senso del mistero e del religioso, del pagano e dello stregato, sacro, e questa non fa eccezione.
Gonne ampie e cappotti rigidi, piumini e pellicce oversize, poi ancora frange. Stivali da equitazione e guanti lunghi.
Sapete? Questa collezione è perfetta.

The only touch of colour are the red crosses painted on the face of the models.
In Gareth Pugh's runways there's a sort of sense of mystical and religious, pagan and wicca, sacred, and this one makes no exception.
Wide skirts under rigid coats, then oversized furs and padded jackets, then again fringes. Riding boots and gong gloves, and then those red crosses.
You know what? This collection is pure perfection.

Marc Jacobs RTW F/W 2015

Iniziamo la NYFW con un grande omaggio a Diana Vreeland, una delle personalità più influenti nella moda e grandissima icona.
La nuova collezione di Marc Jacobs è infatti incentrata su di lei, ed è un continuo crescendo di bellezza.
Inizia con degli abiti carini, molto femminili e chic, per poi andare verso pellicce, pelle, animalier e ricami, fino a raggiungere il suo climax con dei meravigliosi vestiti lunghi super eleganti.
L'allure della collezione è piuttosto vintage, incentrata su stampe optical colorate e maniche di pelliccia bianca e nera e stivali in pelle di coccodrillo.
Il pezzo più bello, però, è senza dubbio la giacca Tetris i cui tasselli formano un ritratto pixelato della stessa Vreeland.
Non riesco ancora ad assorbire il divorzio fra Marc Jacobs e Louis Vuitton, e penso che mai ci riuscirò, ma almeno mi accontento e delizio di questo.

The new Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter collection is a continuous growing up of beauty and fascination as the models walk the runway.
It starts with pretty, feminine and chic gowns and then it goes on with furs, coats, leather, animalier and embroideries, until it arrives to its climax made of long, super elegant dresses.
The allure of the collection is very vintage, centred on colourful optical prints and furry sleeves and croco leather boots.
The most beautiful item of this collection is the Tetris jacket whose dowels form a pixelated portrait of Diana Vreeland.
I haven't absorbed yet the divorce between Jacobs and Vuitton, and I think I'll never do, but at least I'll settle and delight with this.
