Devo dire la verità, Givenchy è uno di quei pochi marchi la cui moda maschile preferisco alla femminile, ed è molto strano perché di solito la moda maschile fa schifo.
Riccardo Tisci ha sicuramente dato da un po' di anni a questa parte una ventata di freschezza ad un marchio molto vecchio.
Givenchy oggi è più glam, è più rock, è sperimentale ma anche elegante e, a volte, romantico.
Come in questo caso.
In questa collezione la donna presentata è una donna guerriera, un'amazzone che veste di pelle e pizzo. Una donna sexy e romantica allo stesso tempo, una donna audace e senza paura, una donna forte ma comunque femminile e raffinata.
Meravigliosi i ricami preziosi, meraviglioso il gioco di consistenze fra i differenti tessuti, meraviglioso il setting labirintico.
Meraviglioso.
I have to say the truth, Givenchy is one of those brands whose menswear I prefer than womenswear, and it's a strange thing because menswear usually sucks.
Riccardo Tisci has surely given a breath of fresh air to this old brand.
Givenchy today is glam, rock, experimental but also elegant and, sometimes, romantic.
Like in this case.
In this collection the woman shown is a warrior, a fighter, an amazon that wears lace and leather. A sexy and romantic woman at the same time, a daring and fearless woman, a strong but feminine and refined woman.
Marvellous are the precious embroideries, marvellous is the game of consistencies among different fabrics, marvellous is the mazy setting.

Amo Comme Des Garçons. La serie dei profumi sugli incensi è di una bellezza commovente.
Ma al di là di questo, mi soddisfa parecchio quando un ottimo marchio di profumeria di nicchia è anche un ottimo marchio di moda. Mi fa capire che un marchio può essere coerente con la sua estetica in ogni sua espressione.
Adoro l'assemblaggio apparentemente casuale di stoffe, toppe e forme diverse, adoro come Comme Des Garçons giochi con i suoi vestiti fino a farli diventare pura poesia.
Ed in questa collezione certamente non si smentisce.
Il rosso è il colore di questa sfilata. Rosso passione, rosso sangue.
Parrucche alla Pompadour scapigliate, scomposte, che indicano una gloria decaduta.
Rose e sangue, il dramma di Maria Antoinette.
Un dramma ottocentesco, una morte in passerella.
Capi bianchi schizzati di sangue, una ghigliottina che impera sulla testa dell'imperatrice.
Il suo collo tagliato come le stoffe di questi capi.
Cappucci neri ed enormi come quelli dei boia.
Una collezione teatrale e passionale, meravigliosa.

I love Comme Des Garçons. The series of perfumes about incense is a poignant beauty.
But beyond that, it satisfies me a lot when an excellent niche perfume brand is also an excellent fashion brand. It makes me understand that a brand can be coherent with its aestethic in any expression.
I love the apparently casual assembly of different fabrics, patches and shapes, I love how Comme Des Garçons plays with its dresses until they become pure poetry.
And in this collection it certainly doesn't disprove itself.
Red is the colour of this runway. Red passion, red blood.
Disheveled Pompadour wigs that show a fallen glory.
Roses and blood, the drama of Marie Antoinette.
A Nineteenth Century drama, death on the runway.
White dresses stained with blood, a guillotine that reigns on the head of the Empress.
Her neck cut, like the fabrics of these dresses.
Big and black hoods, like the ones of the executioners.
A passional and theatrical collection, marvellous.

La bellezza di Jean Paul Gaultier è che fa le sfilate vecchio stile, un po' come le faceva Thierry Mugler: delle carnevalate divertenti, chiassose e meravigliosamente trash.
L'ode ai grandi nomi della musica della S/S 2013 è stata sublime, per non parlare all'omaggio alla danza nella S/S 2014.
In questo sfarzoso canto del cigno, Jean Paul Gaultier ha allestito un concorso di bellezza.
Jean Paul Gaultier ha riempito questa collezione con ogni sfaccettatura della sua estetica e della sua creatività. Vi è tutto: l'androgino, il revival, il grottesco, l'iconico, lo sportivo, il colorato.
In una sfilata più che eterogenea, Gaultier ha presentato diversi suoi modelli femminili, partendo dalla donna sexy ed elegante di Miss Marinière, tutta righe e cappelli strani per poi andare a Miss Hommage à Madame de Palmay, che non è altro che Rossy De Palma, sua principale musa.
Con Miss Tour De France e Miss Lucha Libre ha reinventato lo sportswear rendendolo colorato, di moda, divertente e kitsch. Miss Meteo e Miss Smoking sono l'eleganza noir e mascolina. Miss Femme De FootBalleur è un trionfo di capelli con le onde e bellezza anni Ottanta.
In Miss Vintage hanno sfilato in passerella le modelle di una volta, bellissime con le rughe.
E poi la mia sezione preferita: Miss Redactrice de Mode. Omaggio alle grandi donne della moda come Carine Roitfeld, Franca Sozzani e Suzy Menkes.
L'ultimo, grande show di Gaultier.

The ode to the biggest names in music of the S/S 2013 was gorgeous, so it was the homage to dance of the S/S 2014.
In this sumptuous swan-song Jean Paul Gaultier has prepared a beauty contest.
Gaultier has filled this collection with every face of his aesthetic and his creativity. There's everything about him: androgyny, revival, grotesque, iconic, sporting, colorful.
In a more than heterogeneous collection, Gaultier has shown different models of femininity, starting with the sexy and elegant woman of Miss Marinière, with strips and strange hats, going to Miss Hommage à Madame de Palmay, who is Rossy The Palma, his eternal muse.
With Miss Tour De France and Miss Lucha Libre he reinvented the sportswear making it colorful, fashionable and kitsch. Miss Meteo and Miss Smoking are masculine and elegant noir. Miss Femme De Footballeur is a triumph of wavy hair and Eighties beauty.

Gareth Pugh, insieme a pochi altri, fa qualcosa che può essere considerato vera arte.
La sua completa libertà nella fantasia, il suo senso dell'orrido e dell'oscuro è qualcosa che mi affascina, mi raccapriccia e seduce allo stesso tempo.
Come spiego questa collezione?
Immaginatevi American Horror Story: Coven (quella sulle streghe), immaginatevi lo Spaventapasseri del Mago di Oz e una maschera di Venezia mentre fanno un rito pagano in una galleria d'arte.
Questa collezione prende spunto dai riti pagani, per questo troviamo la stella e la testa di animale cornuto. Ma il bello di questa collezione è che offre un bilanciamento fra opere di assoluto sfarzo e qualcosa di più pulito e meno teatrale.
Studiando molto i drappeggi e lo svolazzare di stoffe di consistenze leggere, Gareth Pugh ha creato dei giochi di pieghe ed illusioni ottiche da lasciare senza fiato.
Linee più pulite, meno volumetrie, meno architetture. Abiti più leggeri ma non per questo meno drammatici.

His complete freedom in fantasy, his sense of horror and darkness is something that fascinates me, horryfies me and seduces me at the same time.
How can I explain this season?
Imagine American Horror Story: Coven (the one about witches), imagine the Scarecrow from the Wizard Of Oz and a mask from Venice while they're doing a pagan ritual in an art gallery.
This collection gets ideas from pagan culture, that's why we see the star and the horned animal skull. But the beautiful thing of this collection is that it balances works of art with something cleaner and simpler.
Studying drapery and the flutter of light fabrics, Gareth Pugh has created games of pleats and optical illusions that left me breathless.
Cleaner lines, less volume, less architecture. Lighter dress but dramatic as well.
