Già da un paio di anni presentano la Sicilia nelle loro sfilate rinnovandola in ogni stagione (certe volte meglio di altre). La Sicilia proposta in questa sfilata, come anche nella precedente F/W, è una Sicilia storica. Ma se nella scorsa collezione abbiamo visto la Sicilia nordica, quella degli Altavilla, qui vediamo la Sicilia asburgica e borbonica della dominazione spagnola dei secoli Sedicesimo, Diciassettesimo e Diciottesimo.
Un trionfo di rosso, carnale e violento.
Rose e garofani, amore e morte, fioriscono dai capelli e dai vestiti delle modelle.
L'atmosfera sembra avvolta da un'aura drammatica e romantica allo stesso tempo.
La cosa davvero interessante, però, è come venga analizzata la femminilità nelle sfilate di Dolce & Gabbana: c'è la Madonna, c'è la Madre, c'è la Moglie. Ci sono anche l'assassina, la matadora, la ragazza moderna in jeans, la vedova con la veletta, la peccatrice, l'austera e severa donna in tailleur nero.
Il pezzo più bello dell'intera Settimana della Moda è quel paio di scarpe il cui tacco nasconde un Sacro Cuore. Meraviglioso.
Questa è una sfilata dalle molteplici sensazioni: sensualità, raffinatezza, sfrontatezza, romanticismo, severità, austerità, violenza, sacralità. Mi ricorda un profumo meraviglioso di Etat Libre D'Orange, Vierges Et Toreros.
Dolce & Gabbana portray reality, and that's the thing that attracts the most of their aesthetic.
It's from a couple of years they present Sicily in their runways renewing this concept in each season (sometimes it works, sometimes not). The Sicily proposed in this collection, like in the previous F/W, is a historical Sicily. But if in the last season we saw the Northern Sicily, the one of the Altavillas, here we see the Sicily of the Habsburgs and the Bourbons, the one of the Spanish Domination of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
A triumph of red, carnal and violent.
Roses and carnations, love and death, bloom from the hair and the dresses of the models.
The atmosphere seems surrounded by a dramatic but romantic aura.
But the really interesting thing is the fact that different examples of femininity are shown here: there is the Virgin Mary, there is the Mother, there is the Wife. There are the killer, the matador, the modern girl wearing jeans, the widow wearing the veil, the sinner, the austere and strict woman wearing a black tailleur.
The most beautiful item of the entire Fashion Week is with no doubt the pair of shoes whose heels hide a Sacred Heart. Marvellous.
This is multiple sensations collection: sensuality, refinement, effrontery, romance, strictness, austerity, violence, sacredness.
It reminds me of a beautiful perfume by Etat Libre d'Orange called Vierges Et Toreros.
